The following deaths have occurred:-
William Curran, 41 Petrie Way, Culmore Road, Derry
The death has taken place of William Curran, 19th December 2023, peacefully at Culmore Manor. Formerly of 41 Petrie Way, Culmore Road. Dearly beloved Husband of Frances and a much-loved Father of Sandra, Trevor, Paul, Lorraine, William, Sharon, Glenn, Lyndsey and Kealey. A loving Father-in-law and devoted Grandfather and Great-Grandfather. Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, 22nd December 2023 at 10.00am in St Eugene’s Cathedral, followed by burial in Burt Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if wished in lieu of flowers to Dementia NI, North City Business Centre, 2 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast, BT15 2GG. Family time from 10pm to 11am please and on the morning of the funeral. Sylvia Doherty (née Murray), 10 Tamworth Crescent, Derry
The death has taken place of Sylvia Doherty (née Murray), 19th December 2023, beloved wife of the late Leo, loving mother of Leo and Joseph, mother-in-law of Michelle and Janet, much loved grandmother of Peter, Megan, Ryan, Rory and Emily, great-grandmother of Charlotte and Elyza and dear sister of Thomas, Kevin and the late Joseph and Kathleen. Sylvia’s remains will be reposing in her home, 10 Tamworth Crescent. Funeral from there on Friday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. No flowers please. Sarah “Sadie” Hennighan (née Heaney), The Haven, Cherry Grove, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Sarah “Sadie” Hennighan (née Heaney) peacefully at home on the 19th December 2023. May she rest in peace. Late of The Haven, Cherry Grove, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved wife of the late Stephen R.I.P and loving mother of Jacqueline and Monica. Devoted grandmother of Joseph. Daughter of the late Molly and Thomas R.I.P and dear sister of the late Tommy, Mary-Joe and Mary-Teresa R.I.P. The death has taken place of James Joseph Johnstone, 20th December 2023, beloved husband of Bridget and loving father of Siobhan, Eoin, Elaine, Orla and Joanne, son of the late Harry and Maggie and brother of the late Harold and Stewartie. Funeral from his home, 5 Falgortrevy Road on Friday, 22nd December at 1.45pm for 2.30pm Requiem Mass in Church of St. Patrick Glen, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
