Hamilton (Tony) Brown, formerly of 23 Old School Field, Drumahoe
The death has occurred of the late Hamilton (Tony) Brown, 23rd April 2024, peacefully at Oakleaves Care Centre (in his 103rd Year). Formerly of 23 Old School Field, Drumahoe. Dearly beloved Husband of the Late Harriet Rebecca (Reia). A much- loved father of Carolyn, Harriet and Rosemary. A loving Father-in-Law of John, Marcus and the Late Desmond. A devoted Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Brother of Wes and the Late Joan and Nora – Canada. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, 25th April 2024 at Christ Church, Infirmary Road at 1.00pm followed by burial in the City Cemetery. Tony’s Wake will take place at his Daughter Harriet’s home, 31 the Beeches, Drumahoe. Angela Kearney (née McCready), 14 Belmont Crescent, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Angela Kearney (née McCready), 24th April 2024 peacefully at home, beloved wife of Jimmy, 14 Belmont Crescent, loving mother of Kevin, Ciaran and Catherine, mother-in-law of Alastair and Fiona and devoted grandmother of Eve and Tom. Angela’s remains will be reposing in her home on Friday from 12noon - 8.00pm. Funeral from there on Saturday at 11o’clock for 11.30am Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
John Sean McMenamin, Hamilton Street, Derry
The death has taken place of John Sean McMenamin, 23rd April 2024, peacefully after a short illness at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of Hamilton Street, late of Meadowbank Care Home), beloved son of the late Seamus and Margaret, (née McKeever). Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Sean will be reposing at his cousin Louise McCourt’s home, 61 Aberfoyle Crescent on Thursday from 12noon to 8.00pm. Funeral leaving 61 Aberfoyle Crescent on Friday, 26th April at 9.20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him. May he rest in peace.
Ernest (Ernie) McNair, 34 Seapark, Castlerock
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of the late Ernest (Ernie) McNair, 24th April 2024, peacefully at home, 34 Seapark, Castlerock. Dearly loved husband of Wilma and the late Winnifred, devoted father of Jacqueline, Carol and Dawn, father-in-law of Reggie, loving grandfather of Ellis and Muirne and step-father of Wendy and Belinda. Family and friends are welcome to call at the family home on Friday evening 7.00pm - 9.00pm. Service of Celebration in Castlerock Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Downhill Burying Ground. Family flowers only please.
