The following deaths have occurred:-
John Bowerman, 522 Seacoast Road Magilligan
The death has taken place of John Bowerman, 3rd January 2024, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved son of Edwin and Rosemary. Dear brother of Gabriel, Pauline, Gary, Sarah, Mark, David and the late Paul. R.I.P. Brother-in-law of Eileen, and a much loved uncle. Suttle service will operate between Magilligan GAA club grounds and his home between 5.00pm and 10.00pm today (Thursday). Funeral from his home, 522 Seacoast Road Magilligan on Friday at 11.20am for Requiem Mass in St Aidan’s Church Magilligan at 12noon followed by interment in adjoining cemetery. Teresa Mary Boyd (née Jennings), 48 Moyglass Place, Strathfoyle
The death has taken place of Teresa Mary Boyd (née Jennings), 3rd January 2024, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late Jack, loving mother of Jacky, Jason and Victoria, mother-in-law of Martin, Jacky and Colvin, devoted ninny of Tasmin, Karla, Nathan, Calvin, Ronan, Molly, Cora, Alice, Jack, Jack, Shane and Josh, a cherished great-grandmother and dear sister of Terry, Rosaleen, Kathleen, Veronica and the late Jimmy, Bridget, Johnny. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 48 Moyglass Place, Strathfoyle. Funeral from there on Friday at 1.30pm for interment in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Patrick “Patsy” Burke, 195 Drum Road, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Patrick “Patsy” Burke peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 3rd January 2024. May he rest in peace. Late of 195 Drum Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved husband of Patsy and loving father of Gavin, Leona (Paul), and Gary (Caoimhe). Devoted grandfather of Brannagh, Paddy, Michael, Conleith, Orlaith and Paul. Dearly loved wife of Seamus, loving mother of Martin, Marie and Noeleen, mother-in-law of Monica, Keith and Wesley, devoted grandmother of Rowan, Oliver, Darach, Oran, Niall, Jaydee, Calum, Koren, Jamie and Matthew and a dear sister, Sister-in-law and aunt. The death has occurred of the late Brian Coll, 30th December 2023, beloved son of the late Thomas and Vera (formerly of Tremone Gardens and Carnhill) dear brother of Betty, Joy, Eddie, Damien, Marian, Paula and the late John, Vincent, Bernadette, Patricia, Carolann, Gerry, Christopher and Martin, cherished partner of Geraldine and a much loved brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. William (Liam) Fox, 60A Ederowen Park, Derry
The death has occurred of the late William (Liam) Fox, 31st December 2023, late of 60A Ederowen Park and formerly of Fergleen Park, dearly loved son of the late Maureen and William Fox, loving brother of Geraldine, Shay, Patrick, Donna, Frankie, Francis and the late Edward, David, Christopher and John and beloved uncle of Danielle, Naomi, Sarah and Chloe. His remains will be reposing in his sister Geraldine’s home, 10 Oakgrove, Greysteel, BT47 3TY. Funeral from there on Friday at 10.15am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Galliagh. The death has taken place of the late James (Jimmy) Lynch, 2nd January 2024, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital in his 86th year, beloved husband of the late Mary, loving father of Sean, Siobhan and Damian, father-in-law of Geraldine and Kathy, much loved grandfather of Bonnie, Laura, Deborah, Sean, Shannon and Ethan, a cherished great-grandfather and dear brother of Phyllis and the late Bridget, Susie, Alec, Willie, Jean, Maureen and Gertie. Bridget McDonnell (née McLaughlin), 71 Killycon Road, Portglenone
The death has occurred of the late Bridget McDonnell, 3rd January 2024, (peacefully, surrounded by her loving family), beloved wife of the late John, much loved mother of Ian and the late Seamus, loving mother in law of Geraldine, adored granny of Damien (and Aisling) and Shauna (and Paul O’Kane), great granny to Evanna, Aoife and Caolan and dear sister of Olive and the late Harry, Patsy, Tommy, Barney, Mary, Greta and Rhoda. Bridget will be waked in her late residence, 71 Killycon Road, Portglenone.
