The following deaths have occurred:-
Hugh Carson, 10 Moyola Avenue, Castledawson
The death has taken place of Hugh Carson, 8th January 2023, (peacefully) at The Causeway Hospital, Coleraine, dearly beloved husband of the late Kathleen, 10 Moyola Avenue, Castledawson, much loved father of Helen, Jayne and Ewart, dear father-in-law of Derek, Evan and Jenni, loving grandfather of Katherine, Adam, Sian and the late Jonathan and dearest brother of Jack, Marbeth and the late James. House strictly private. Funeral from his home on Wednesday, 11th January at 1.00pm, for service in Castledawson Presbyterian Church at 1.30pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, for Macmillian Nursing and Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice payable, to Garvin’s Funeral Service (Donations A/c), 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP. James Clements, 53 Curragh Road, Coleraine
The death has taken place of James Clements, 6th January 2023, (peacefully at hospital), late of 53 Curragh Road, Coleraine. Dearly beloved husband of Maureen, much loved father of Michelle and Alyson, father-in-law of Mark and Jan, grandfather of John, Erin, Jess and Ben. Funeral Service at Roselawn Crematorium, Belfast, on Saturday, 21st January at 12.40pm. House private. Family flowers only please. Sr. Brigid Agnes Devine, Loreto Community, Coleraine and formerly Castlederg
The death has occurred of Sr. Brigid Agnes Devine, 8th January 2023, late of the Loreto Community, 1 Osborne Park, Coleraine, BT51 3LU, (peacefully) in the loving care of her Loreto Sisters and her family. Daughter of the late Joseph and Brigid and loving sister of Sr. Agnes Mary SSL (Bernadette) and the late Joseph, Michael, Eileen (Doherty), Patrick, Fr. Bernard and John. Sr. Brigid Agnes will be reposing at 1 Osborne Park from 3.00pm on Tuesday. Removal from her late residence on Wednesday evening at 5.30pm to St. John’s Church, Coleraine (arriving approx. 6.00pm). Requiem Mass on Thursday at 10.00am (Mass can be viewed on the Parish Youtube Page www.youtube.com/channel/UCj5dkV1j8QeTIA6BkUVRxEA). Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Castlederg. (Arriving approx. 1.00pm) St. Thérèse & St. Paul pray for her. Through Him, with Him and in Him. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sister, nieces, nephews, the Loreto Sisters, staff, past pupils and the entire family circle.
Joe Dorman, 10 Hazeldene Avenue, Magherafelt
The death has taken place of Joe Dorman (Magherafelt), 7th January 2023, beloved partner of Ciara and loving father of Michéal, grandfather of Don and Ivy, son of the late Desmond and Irene and dear brother of Anne-Marie, Michael and Teresa McGlone and brother in law of Jayne and Henry. Funeral from his home, 10 Hazeldene Avenue on Wednesday, 11th January at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of Our Lady of the Assumption via webcam at Webcam – Magherafelt Parish, interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of St. John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his partner, son, grandchildren, brother, sisters, sister in law, brother in law, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Angela Kelly (née McLaughlin), 66 Kings Lane, Ballykelly
The death has occurred of Angela Kelly (née McLaughlin), 8th January 2023, beloved wife of the late David, 66 Kings Lane, Ballykelly, loving mother of Cecelia, Martina, Dympna and David, devoted grandmother of Ethan, Courtney and Aoife and dear sister of Phyllis. Funeral from her home on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Finlough’s Church, Ballykelly. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Gavin McAteer, 112 Hatmore Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Gavin McAteer, 8th January 2023, (peacefully) at Sligo University Hospital. Husband of Maeve, loving father of Cohan, Nicole, Lauren, Anna, Alayia,and AJ, a much loved grandfather of Brodi, Bría, Tia, and Tommy. Dear son of Hugh and the late Jean R.I.P. and brother of Orla. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Private family time from 10.00pm to 10.00am Please. Funeral will leave from family home, 112 Hatmore Park, Derry on Wednesday at 10.20am for Requiem Mass at 11.00am in St Eugene’s Cathedral followed by interment in City Cemetery. John McLaughlin, 45 Rossdowney Road, Derry
The death has occurred of John McLaughlin, 9th January 2023, beloved husband of the late Margaret (formerly of Ervey), loving father of Sean, Terence and the late Noleen, father-in-law of Fiona and Diane and much loved grandfather of Debbie, Daryl, Lauren, Finn,and Eva and great-grandfather of Danny, Noah and Charlie. Funeral from his home, 45 Rossdowney Road, on Wednesday at 12.20pm for 1o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Tamnaherin. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Archibald (Archie) Taylor, 31 Castle Gardens, Limavady
The death has taken place of Archibald (Archie) Taylor, 9th January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, late of 31 Castle Gardens, Limavady. Dear son of the late Archie and Frances Taylor, beloved brother of Frances (Ann) Haslett, a much loved uncle of Stephen and Alison. Deeply regretted by all his family and friends.
