The following deaths have occurred:-
Joan Harkin (née Hynes), 19 Upper Galliagh Road, Derry
The death has taken place of Joan Harkin (née Hynes), 10th April 2023, (peacefully) at Foyle Hospice, beloved wife of Donal, loving mother of Emma, Bronagh, Ciara and John, loving daughter of Vincent and Nancy, dear and loving sister of Jacqueline, Kevin, Peter, Geraldine and David, and a devoted aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and her many friends. Funeral leaving her home, 19 Upper Galliagh Road, on Wednesday, 12th April at 9.20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 11.00pm to 11.00am. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her. St. Pio pray for her.
Lily Harley (née O'Hagan), Derry
The death has taken place of Lily Harley (née O'Hagan), 9th April 2023, (suddenly) at Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved Wife of Ray and Devoted Mother of Raymond, Pat, Catriona, Leontia and the late Declan. A much loved Nana, Mother-in-law and friend. Dear sister of Shiela, Carol, Tillie, Annie and the late Charlie, Mary, Josie, Bernie and Mamie. Funeral from her daughter Leontia's home, 73 Gleneagles, Derry on Wednesday, 12th April at 9.30am to Saint Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery, Derry. Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on her soul. House private please from 9.00pm to 11.00am.
Sarah Ellen Esdale (Jacqueline) Kelly (née Hyndman), 13 Rushcroft Park, Lisnagelvin
The death has taken place of Sarah Ellen Esdale (Jacqueline) Kelly (née Hyndman), 9th April 2023, (peacefully) at her home, 13 Rushcroft Park, Lisnagelvin (surrounded by her loving family) much loved wife of Alan, devoted mother of Darren and Stephen, loving mother-in-law of Melanie and Lesley, adored nana of Lauren, Hollie, Robbie, Grace and Olly, dearest sister of Rae, Ian, Ross and the late Billy. Funeral leaving her late home on Wednesday, 12th April at 11.30am followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in Glendermott Presbyterian Church at 12.00noon burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Glendermott Presbyterian Church (Building Fund) or Foyle Hospice c/o Mrs. Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Robert (Bobby) McCullough, 52 East Road, Limavady
The death has occurred of Robert (Bobby) McCullough, 9th April 2023, (suddenly), loving son of Julie and Robert McCullough. Dear brother of Jonathan and Joanne Rooney. Beloved partner of Alex McVeigh and a much-loved uncle. Deeply regretted by all the family circle and friends. Funeral from the family home: 52 East Road, Limavady, BT49 0NW, on Wednesday at 9.15am for Requiem Mass at 10.00am in Christ the King Church, Limavady followed by interment in adjoining Cemetery. Maureen Theresa Ritchie (née Henry), 16 Hendra Park Coleraine
The death has taken place of Maureen Theresa Ritchie (née Henry), 8th April 2023, (peacefully) at hospital, 16 Hendra Park, Coleraine. Devoted mummy of the late Laura. Daughter of the late Michael and Mary, much loved sister of Donal, Eoin, Eugene and the late Brendan. Requiem Mass in Star of The Sea Church, Portstewart on Wednesday at 10.00am followed by interment in Portstewart New Cemetery. House Private. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired for Coleraine and District M.S. Society c/o Mrs Mona Murdock, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. On her soul sweet Jesus have mercy.
