Margaret Calvin (née Mairs), 13 Strathard Close, Coleraine
The death has occurred of Margaret Calvin (née Mairs), 14th January 2023, (peacefully) at the Causeway Hospital, 13 Strathard Close, Coleraine, much loved mother of Edward, mother-in-law of Laura, devoted granny of Sherrie, Nikita and Bailey, dear sister of Adrian and a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Funeral from her home on Wednesday at 12.45pm to Hazelbank Presbyterian Church for Service at 1.00pm, burial afterwards in Coleraine Cemetery. Callers welcome at her home from 5.00pm on Tuesday. Rosie (Rosaleen) Conaghan (née Irvine), 47 Farmhill, Foyle Springs, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Rosie (Rosaleen) Conaghan (née Irvine), (peacefully) at the Foyle Hospice, surrounded by all of her loving family on 15th January 2023, late of 47 Farmhill, Foyle Springs. Beloved wife of Adrian. Devoted mother of John and Aisling. Loving granny of Caolan, Jay and Mannix. A much loved sister of Lilian and Marion. Dearest mother-in-law of Sandra and Laurence. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Rosie's remains will be reposing at her late residence. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday, 18th January at 09.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Columba's Church, Longtower. Burial immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Andrew Doherty, 46 Danesfort Crescent, Derry
The death has occurred of Andrew Doherty, 16th January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of the late Mary Teresa (Moya), loving father of Anne, Andrew and Thomas, devoted grandfather to Niamh, Orla, Andrew, Aideen, Matthew and Christopher, dear brother of Giles and Kathleen (Katty), and a dear father-in-law and uncle. Andrew will be reposing at his home, 46 Danesfort Crescent, from 2.00pm today (Tuesday). Funeral leaving there on Wednesday 18th. January at 10.20am to St. Brigid’s Church, Carnhill for requiem mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. House Private From 10.00pm to 11.00am. Josephine (Joyce) Hart (née McLaughlin), 27 Thorndale, Derry
The death has taken place of Josephine (Joyce) Hart (née McLaughlin), 16th January 2023, (suddenly) at Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved wife of Jim, loving mother of Janice, Gioconda, Joanne and Paula, mother-in-law of Mark and Joe. A much loved grandmother of Claire, James, Charlotte, Thomas, Declan, Celeb, Conan, Marykate and Mollie Jo, and great-grandmother of Patrick, Connor, Ava and Maeve. Dear sister of Connolly, and the late Roisin, Jackie, and Liam R.I.P. Private family time from 10.00pm to 10.00am please. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Funeral from her home, 27 Thorndale, Derry on Wednesday at 12.50pm for Requiem Mass at 1.30pm in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road followed by interment in St Mary’s Cemetery Ardmore. Liam Mac Lochlainn, 53 Belvoir Park, Culmore, Derry
The death has taken place of Liam Mac Lochlainn,(former Irish Teacher in St Columb’s College), (peacefully) at the Foyle Hospice, surrounded by family on 14th January 2023, beloved husband of Irene, 53 Belvoir Park, Culmore, loving father of Carol Anne, Catherine, Neil, Michael and David, dear father-in-law of Conor, Niamh and Siobhan, devoted daideo of Lewis, Aoife, Callum, Leah, Ciara, Molly and Naoise and dear brother of John, Anne and the late James and Gerald. Liam’s remains will be reposing at his home on Wednesday from 2.00pm, leaving from there on Thursday at 1.30pm for a prayer service in W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU at 2.00pm. Requiem Mass and interment in Glasgow at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Birdie O'Reilly, 7 Abbey Park, Derry
The death has occurred of Birdie O'Reilly, 15th January 2023, (peacefully) at her home, 7 Abbey Park. Beloved wife of the Late William (Willie), loving mother of Sheila, Kathleen, Martina, Bridie, Paul, Bernadette and the Late Willie (Winkle). A much loved grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral from her home on Wednesday at 10.30am to St Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the city Cemetery. Catherine (Cathy) Parks, 12 Osborne Park, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Catherine (Cathy) Parks, 15th January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, late of 12 Osborne Park, Coleraine, dearly beloved wife of the late Edmund, loving mother of Justin and Ryan, mother-in-law of Nathalie, grandmother of Jake and sister of Irene, Samuel and Gillian. Service is Killowen Parish Church, Coleraine on Wednesday at 11.00am followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Funeral leaving her cousin Teresa Mahon’s Home, 199 Lone Moor Road on Tuesday, 17th January at 9.20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10.00am.
