John Brennan, 121 Creggan Heights, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of John Brennan, suddenly at his home on 19th February 2024. Late of 121 Creggan Heights. May he rest in peace. Beloved partner of Patricia. Devoted father of Conor. Dearest son of the late Robert and Anna. Loving brother of Paddy and Mary. A much loved brother-in-law of Pat and the late Seamus. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. John’s remains will be reposing at his late residence, 121 Creggan Heights. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday, 21st February at 9.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Mary's Church, Creggan. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Lucy Carton (née McGranaghan), 384 Drumrane Road, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Lucy Carton (née McGranaghan), peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on the 19th of February 2024. May she rest in peace. Late of 384 Drumrane Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved wife of the late Michael R.I.P and loving mother of Rose, Mickey, Noel, Sarah, Liam, Cathal, Lucy and Sheila. A devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Will be sadly missed by all her sisters and brothers, neices, nephews, and extended family circle. Reposing at her late home. The death has occurred of the late Don Fitzpatrick, 19th February 2024, beloved husband of the late Liz, formerly of Moyola Drive, Shantallow and Cornshell Fields, loving father of Gavin, Don and Melissa, devoted grandfather of Victoria, Brooklyn, Mckenzie, Brandon, Leo, Tommy, Kenyon, Melah and Joey and a dear brother, brother-in-law and uncle. His remains will be reposing at 61 Moyola Drive, Shantallow. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Anthony (Tony) Hassan, 134 Elm Grove, Derry
The death has taken place of Anthony (Tony) Hassan, 19th February 2024, peacefully at the Foyle Hospice, beloved husband of Christine, 134 Elm Grove, loving father of Ciaran and Aine, father-in-law of Maureen, devoted grandfather of Dearbhaile, Callum, Niamh, Conal, Caoimhin, Tara and Oisin and dear brother of Dessie and the late Ann. His remains will be reposing in his home from 12noon on Tuesday. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 10.20am for 1 o’clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Sarah McIntyre (née Shiels), 59 Donal Casey Court, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Sarah McIntyre (née Shiels), 19th February 2024, peacefully at the Foyle Hospice, loving mother of Sharon, Seamus, Rory, Fergus and the late Cushla, Sean and Edmond, a much loved grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 59 Donal Casey Court. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Brigid McAllister (née O'Neill), 32 Culbane Road, Bellaghy (Updated funeral arrangements)
The death has taken place of Brigid McAllister (née O'Neill), died 17th February 2024. House strictly private please. Late of 32 Culbane Road. Wife of the late Michael; loving mother of Monica (O'Kane), Fiona (Blanche) and Stella (Hughes) and the late Michelle (Convery); a much loved granny and great granny and sister of Willie. Veronica (Vera) McGuckin (née Ewart), 28 Gracefield Road, Ballymaguigan
The death has occurred of the late Veronica (Vera) McGuckin (née Ewart), 18th February 2024, beloved wife of Packie and loving mother of Seanine (Bell), Bronagh (McGuckin) and the late stepson Colm, dear sister of Dessie, Patricia and the late Pauline. Funeral from her home, 28 Gracefield Road on Wednesday, 21st February at 10.00am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of The Sacred Heart Cargin, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her husband, daughters, sons in law Martin, Darren, grandchildren Jenny, Lily, Pauric, Cillian, brother, sister, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Robert Watton, 159 Seacoast Road, Limavady
The death has taken place of Robert Watton, passed away peacefully at Edenvale Care Home on 19th February 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Mary, loving father of Margaret, James, John, Charles, Andrew and the late Michael, dear Father in law, Grandfather and Great grandfather also a dear brother of David and Uncle. Friends and family welcome to call at his late home, 159 Seacoast Road, Limavady, between 11.00am and 10.00pm. Funeral will leave his late home on Thursday at 11.15am for service in St Johns Parish Church Myroe at 12noon followed by burial in St Pauls Parish Church Articlave.
