• Teresa Bernadette (Detta) Peoples (née Proctor), 51 Muldonagh Road, Claudy, (Ballyholly), Co Derry
Sarah Margretta (Sadie) Hunt (née Simpson), 100 Castle Park, Limavady
The death has occurred of Sarah Margretta (Sadie) Hunt (née Simpson), 22nd January 2023, (peacefully) at Cornfield Care Centre, Limavady (in her 89th year) dearly beloved wife of the late Laurence Arthur Hunt much loved mother of Lesley, loving mother-in-law of Alistair, adored grandmother of Graham, Rosalind and the late Bethany, dearest sister of John, Gladys and the late Tom. Funeral leaving her late home, 100 Castle Park, Limavady on Thursday, 26th January at 12.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in Christ Church, Limavady at 1.00pm, burial afterwards in Tamlaghtard Parish Churchyard. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Christ Church, Limavady c/o Mrs. Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ, Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by her entire family circle. Gone to be with Christ which is far better.
Martin Kelly, formerly of Lisnavar Court and Newbuildings, Derry
The death has taken place of Martin Kelly, 21st January 2023, son of the late Pat and Lily (formerly of Lisnavar Court and Newbuildings), loving father of Martina, Martin, Conor, Stacey and Stephen, cherished grandfather of Eva, Mia, Conor and Freya, dear brother of Patsy, Ann, Benny, Michael, Sadie, Bo, Teresa and the late Gerry and a much loved uncle. Martin's remains will be reposing in his daughter’s house, 19 Beaufort Drive. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Waterside. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of Peggy Lennox, 21st January 2023, (suddenly) at her home, 17 Lowertown Road, Aughagaskin, Magherafelt, dearly loved daughter of the late David and Sarah, dear sister of the late Stewart, loving sister in-law of Sheila and a much loved aunt of Sylvia and Gwyneth and their families. House strictly private. Family and friends welcome in Garvin’s Funeral Home, 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt BT45 6BP on Tuesday evening from 7.00pm – 8.00pm. Funeral service in St. Swithin’s Parish Church, Magherafelt on Wednesday, 25th January at 1.00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of Celine McLaughlin, 22nd January 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of Drumleck Drive, Shantallow). Funeral leaving Oakleaves Care Home on Wednesday, 25th January at 9.20am to Our Lady Of Lourdes Church Steelstown for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for her.
Brigid Mackle (née Diamond), 29 Glenone Road, Clady, Portglenone
The death has occurred of Brigid Mackle (née Diamond), 29 Glenone Road, Clady, Portglenone, 23rd January 2023 (peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family), beloved wife of the late Seamus, much loved mother of John, Seamus and Una and dear sister of Annie and the late Fr Paddy, John Joe, Mary, Maggie and Hugh Francis. Brigid’s remains will leave her late residence, on Wednesday, 25th January at 10.35am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church Clady (which can be viewed via the parish webcam), burial immediately afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Bellaghy. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughter, daughters in law Martina and Caroline, sister, grandchildren: Brid, Emer, Cormac, James, Maria and Niall and all the family circle. St Anthony pray for her. NB Brigid’s wake will officially begin on Tuesday, 24th January at 12noon.
Russell Alexander Mullan, Ardgarvin Cottages, Limavady
The death has occurred of Russell Alexander Mullan, (peacefully) passed away surrounded by his loving family on 22nd January 2023. Much loved husband of Kathleen. Dear son of the late Joe and Cissie. Loving brother of Josie, Valerie, Kay, Carol, Shirley and the late Gordon. Dear brother in law and Uncle. Late of Ardgarvin Cottages. House strictly private. Funeral service in Balteagh Parish Church on Wednesday at 1.00pm followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Beloved wife of the late Brendan R.I.P and loving mother of Kevin, Malachy, John, Francis, Don, Christopher, Clement and Veronica. Devoted grandmother of Cahan, Niomi, Megan, Niall, Carla, Peadar Pio, Sophie, Kellyann, Kian, Kyle, Cathal, Shay and Eimer and great grandmother of Lacey and Darragh. Deeply regretted by her brother Christy and the entire family circle. Reposing at her late residence. Family time please from 10.00pm to 10.00am. Funeral from her late home on Wednesday, 25th January leaving at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church, Claudy, interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.
