The following deaths have occurred:-
Mary (Molly) Boyle (née McDaid), 20 Marlborough Terrace, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Mary (Molly) Boyle (née McDaid), (peacefully) at Altnagelvin hospital on 28th November 2022, late of 20 Marlborough Terrace. Beloved wife of the late Patrick. Devoted mother of Patrick, Breidge and Martin. A much loved daughter of the late John and Breidge. Loving grandmother to all of her grandchildren. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Molly's remains are now reposing at her late family home, 20 Marlborough Terrace. Funeral cortege leaving from there today (Tuesday) at 6.00pm for 6.30pm arrival at St. Eugene's Cathedral, to repose overnight. Funeral Requiem Mass will take place at 11.00am on Wednesday, 30th November 2022. Burial immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Marjorie Clift (née Bradley), 6 Jasmine Court, Derry
The death has taken place of Marjorie Clift (née Bradley), 27th November 2022, beloved wife of Philip, 6 Jasmine Court, loving mother of Paul, Karen, Jolene, Lorna, Michaela, Brendan, Ciaran and Amie, devoted grandmother of Ava, Taylor-leigh, Kristen, Willow, Cody, Justin and the late Corey and Brooklyn and a much loved mother-in-law, sister and aunt. Funeral from her home on Wednesday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Mary Alice Donaghy (née McLaughlin), 96 Priory Road, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Mary Alice Donaghy (née McLaughlin), (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital on 27th November 2022, late of 96 Priory Road, Dungiven. Beloved wife of the late Tommy R.I.P. and loving mother of Rory (Shauna) and Marion (Eugene). Devoted grandmother of Cathaoir, Oisín, Niamh and Tomás. Beloved daughter of the late Willie and Alice R.I.P. and dear sister of Eileen, Kathleen Bernie and the late Gerard, Vincent and child Liam R.I.P. Reposing at her late home. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Funeral on Wednesday leaving her late home at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church Dungiven, interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining church graveyard. No flowers please, donations of wished in lieu to Saint Vincent De Paul Society (SVP) c/o McLaughlin Funeral Directors. Deeply regretted by all her loving family and the entire family circle. Sarah (Sadie) Fraser, 34 Cuilrath Street, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Sarah (Sadie) Fraser, 26th November 2022, (peacefully) at her home, 34 Cuilrath Street, Coleraine, dearly loved mother of Dolina, Donald, Dorothy-Anne, Catrina, Lorraine, Aileen and Peter, a devoted mother-in-law and devoted granny and great-granny. Service in Ballyrashane Parish Church on Wednesday at 11.00am followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Stephen Gargan, 7 Jacqueline Way, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Stephen Gargan, (suddenly) at his home on 27th November 2022. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his partner Desiree. Devoted son to his late mum and dad, Rita and Stephen of Ballyfermot, Dublin. Beloved father of Triona and Darragh. Devoted grandfather to Caoimhe and Róisín. A much loved brother of Marie, Linda and Brenda. Dearest former partner of Alison. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Stephen's remains are now reposing at his home, 7 Jacqueline Way. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, 1st December at 8.30am to arrive at St. Columb’s Hall (Orchard Street Entrance) at 9.00am to celebrate Stephen’s life. His funeral cortege will leave St. Columbs’s Hall at 10.00am for burial to take place at 2.00pm in Newland’s Cross Cemetery, Dubin. Will be sadly missed by everyone. Though nothing will drive them away, we can beat them for just one day.
John Mervyn Glover, Magherafelt Road, Moneymore
The death has taken place of John Mervyn Glover, 27th November 2022, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, Magherafelt Road, Moneymore, much loved son of the late Eileen and Mervyn, dear brother of Peter, Malcolm, Valerie and Pamela and also a loving brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. The death has taken place of Fenton Madden, (peacefully) passed away at his own home, 6 Crawford Square, Limavady. Much loved son of the late John and Margaret, dear brother of Joanne, and brother in law of Shaun, dear friend of Nuala, devoted ga-ga of Jude and Benn. Funeral leaving his late home on Thursday at 12.15pm for service in Christ Church at 1.00pm followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. Funeral from her home, 30 Ballygudden Road, Eglinton on Wednesday at 1.30pm for service in Faughanvale Presbyterian Church at 2o’clock. Burial afterwards in adjoining burying ground. Mervyn John Pickering, 4 Moyola Terrace, Curran
The death has taken place of Mervyn John Pickering, 25th November 2022, (suddenly) at his home, 4 Moyola Terrace, Curran, much loved father of Hannah, Shannon and Charlotte; also their mum Glenys, a dear father-in-law of Gavin, loving granda of the late Noah, dearest brother of Billy, Janette, Sharon and Christine and a dearly loved brother-in-law and uncle. House strictly private. All welcome at D. Watters Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Mervyn's Life will take place in Desertmartin Parish Church on Wednesday at 1.00pm, preceded by a private burial. Family flowers only please. Walter Alexander (Alec) Watson, Limavady
The death has occurred of Walter Alexander (Alec) Watson, (peacefully) passed away at Cornfield Care Centre on 26th November 2022. Much loved husband of Karis, dear father of Carol and David, devoted grandfather of Ian, Alexandra, Paul and Sarah. Funeral Service will be held in Browns Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2.00pm (Friends and family in Limavady area welcome). Followed by cremation at Roselawn Crematorium on Tuesday, 6th December at 2.40pm (Friends and family in Belfast area welcome).
