The death has taken place of the Eileen (Nellie) Deery (née Kerlin), 29th July 2024, peacefully at home, 78 Doneybrewer Road, Lower Campsie, beloved wife of the late Patrick, loving mother of Anne, Patrick, Hilary, Kevin, Brendan, Mary, Eileen, Philip, Ethna and Michael and a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of the late Bridget, Celine, Charles and baby Rosaleen. Her remains will be reposing in her home from 12noon – 10.00pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Funeral from there on Thursday at 11.15am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to St Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Parish Office, Brisland Road, Eglinton. Kathleen (Avril) Edwards (née White), Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of the late Kathleen (Avril) Edwards (née White), July 29th 2024, Peacefully at Sevenoaks Housing with Care (surrounded with love after a short illness) dearly beloved wife of the late Robert Currie and the late Bertie Edwards, much loved mother of Andrew, Gillian and Ruth, loving mother-in-law of Jackie, Geoff and Drew, devoted grandmother of Daniel, John, Shay, Drew, Robbie, Katie, Charlie, Rebecca and the late Rhys, dearest sister of Frances, Naomi, Pearl and Martie. Funeral leaving her daughter Gillian’s home on Wednesday, 31st July at 11.15am followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in Newtowncunningham Presbyterian Church at 12.00noon, burial afterwards in the adjoining burial ground. Daniel (Danny) Grant, 7 Liscannor Park, Derry
The death has taken place of the late Daniel (Danny) Grant, 28th July 2024, peacefully at Cornfield Care Home, Limavady, (formerly of 7 Liscannor Park, ex. Bookmaker and Mourne Bar), beloved son of the late May and Danny, loving brother of Dermot, Sean, Irene and Donna, a devoted uncle and great-uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and dear brother-in-law to Margaret, Teresa, Vincent and the late Eugene. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Danny will be reposing at his brother Dermot’s home, 78 Culmore Road on Tuesday from 11:00am to 10:00pm. Funeral leaving there on Wednesday, 31st July at 9:20am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The death has taken place of the late Veronica Lee, 28th July 2024, beloved daughter of the late Michael and Mary Lee and dear sister of Molly McLaughlin, Kathleen Garnham (Australia), Leonie Mullan, Jim and the late Margaret Boylan, Brigid McMullan, Annie Drain, Harry and Martin. The death has taken place of the late Noel McCready, passed away peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on 28th July 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Much loved husband of Vivienne. Dear father of Nicky (Ryan) and Robyn (Ryan) and loving Papa Tarquin, Emma and Isla. Dear brother of Richard. Noel will be reposing in Browns Funeral Home, on Tuesday, 30th July between 5.00pm and 7.00pm with the family in attendance. Service will be held in Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium on Monday, 5th August at 1.00pm. No Flowers please. The death has occurred of the late James (Jim) Milne, 28th July 2024, beloved husband of Angela and loving father of Martin, Christina (Morgan), Declan, Fergal, Brian, Arlene (Conlon), Natasha (Donnelly) and Seamus Joseph who died in infancy, grandfather of Myla, Rhiannon, Sophia, Ryan, Shannon and Clodagh Rose who died in infancy, father in law of Oliver Conlon, Kieran Donnelly and the late Sinead. Son of the late Bob and Mary Jane and dear brother of Bobby, John, Ian, Brian and Ann McGarry. Funeral from his home, 44 Ballyscullion Road on Wednesday, 31st July at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St Mary Bellaghy, via webcam Bellaghy Chapel interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. The death has taken place of the late Brian Woods, July 23 2024, (peacefully) at his home, 66 Desertmartin Road, Magherafelt, in his 92nd year, Brian, much loved and devoted husband of Faith, dearly beloved father of Jackie, Alison, Lesley and Jennifer, dear father-in-law of Mervyn, Paul, Stephen and Chris, loving grandad of David, Karen, Carla, Shona, Claire, Michael, Amé and Josh, also a cherished great-grandfather and dearest brother of Allan and the late Joyce and Jean.
