Thomas Conaghan, Derry
The death has occurred of Thomas Conaghan, 29th January 2023, (suddenly) at home. Beloved husband of the late Frances and loving father of Alison and Peter. Dear grandfather of Daithí a d Eilidh. Dear brother of Pauline, Pat, Catherine and the late Mary, Artie and Barnie. Funeral arrangements later.
Cathy Craig (née O’Connor), 1 Mountainview Park, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Cathy Craig (née O’Connor), (peacefully) at her home surrounded by her loving family on 30th January 2023, late of 1 Mountainview Park, Dungiven. Beloved wife of Declan and loving mother of Leanne (Mullin) and Conor. Fond mother in law of Michael and devoted grandmother of Séan, Méabh and Aoife. Loving daughter of the late Bernie and Josie R.I.P and dear sister of Martin, Etta, Paula, Cornelius and Joseph. Deeply regretted by her sisters and brothers in law, nieces and nephews and the entire family circle. Funeral on Thursday, 2nd February leaving her late home at 10.20am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Eileen Deery (née Friel), 25 Creggan Heights, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Eileen Deery (née Friel), (suddenly) at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, on 28th January 2023, late of 25 Creggan Heights. Beloved wife of the late Charlie (Darkie). Devoted mother of Ann, Anthony, Catherine and Marie. Loving granny of Natalie, Nicole, Dylan, Charley, Courtney and Kian. A much loved great-granny of Riain, Reeva, Rogan, Bradán, Briá and Caélan. Dearest mother-in-law of Daniel, Pat, JD and Marian. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Eileen's remains will be reposing at her late family home, 25 Creggan Heights, from 12.00pm today (Tuesday). Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, 2nd February at 09.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Mary's Church, Creggan. The death has occurred of Sarah Kelly (née McLean), 29th January 2023, (peacefully) at hospital, 5 Greenaway Drive, Coleraine, dearly beloved wife of the late Michael, loving mother of Kathleen, Brendan, Anne, Paul, Eamon and Sean, a much loved mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother. Beloved wife of the late Jimmy and loving mother of Peter, Brian and Jim. A much loved grandmother of Sophie, Erin, Kiera, Conal, Keelan, Serina, Ruairi and Sienna. Kathleen McCloskey (née Donaghy), Drumleck Drive, Derry
The death has taken place of Kathleen McCloskey (née Donaghy), 29th January 2023, (peacefully) at Edenballymore Lodge and formerly of Drumleck Drive, beloved wife of the late Lexie, loving mother of Greta, Michael, Alan, Jim, Kevin, Brian, Cathy and the late John, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of May, Fred and the late Margaret, Ned, Bernard and Michael. Funeral from her son’s home, 24 Summerhill Grove, Belmont, on Wednesday at 11.30am for 12o'clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Kathleen (Kitty) Mullan (née Peoples), Portstewart
The death has taken place of Kathleen (Kitty) Mullan (née Peoples), 29th January 2023, Portstewart, (formerly Limavady, Claudy and Dundalk), (peacefully) in hospital. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Mullan. Very dearly loved mother of Brendan, Margaret Murphy, Gerard, Bernadette Hughes, Seamus, Colin, and Cathy Kirk. Devoted grandmother of Sarah, Ronan, Rachel, Patrick, Sorcha, Christopher, Ciaran, Gareth, Emily, Laura, David, Patrick, Jennifer, Jessica, Aaron, Conor, Narayana, Kapila and Varshana, and great grandmother. Jean Smylie (née Thompson), 50 Castlerock Road, Coleraine
The death has occurred of Jean Smylie (née Thompson), 30th January 2023, (peacefully) at Musgrave Park Hospital, 50 Castlerock Road, Coleraine, dearly beloved wife of the late George, much loved mother of Sharon, David and Jonathan, dear mother-in-law of Nigel, Karen and Beth and a devoted nana and great-nana. Service in 1st Coleraine Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
