The following deaths have occurred:-
Agnes Audrey Browne, Derry
The death has taken place of Agnes Audrey Browne, 2nd January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late Noel, late of Skipperston Road, Bangor, and Foyle Fold Derry. Loving mother of Irene and the late Geoffrey, dear mother in law of Uel and Lynne and a devoted grandmother of Claire, Stephen and Andrew. Funeral service in Ebrington Presbyterian Church at 10.30am on Thursday, 5th January followed by burial in Clandeboye Cemetery. House private, family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to The Bright hour, Ebrington Presbyterian Church c/o Mrs Anna Baxter 68 Dunnalong Road, Bready BT47 2RU. Peacefully sleeping.
Gerald Donohoe, 6 The Hawthorns, Derry
The death has occurred of Gerald Donohoe, 2nd January 2023, (peacefully) at his home, 6 The Hawthorns (Donohoe Builders), beloved husband of Sheila, loving father of Kevin and Cathy, devoted grandfather of Olivia, dear son of the late Tommy and Eileen, dear and loving brother of Tony, Kay and Elaine, dear uncle to all his nieces and nephews, and father-in-law to Michaela. Funeral leaving his home on Thursday, 5th January at 9.20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Donna Glenn (née McMonagle), 19 Brookhill, Derry
The death has occurred of Donna Glenn (née McMonagle), 1st January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of John, loving mother of Steve, dear daughter of the late Vincent and Kay, loving sister of Eileen, John, Oonagh, Grainne, Anne, Peter and Vincent, dear sister-in-law to all the Glenn family and devoted aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving her home, 19 Brookhill, at 9.20am on Wednesday, 4th January to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.
Robert Haire, Derry
The death has taken place of Robert Haire, 2nd January 2023, (peacefully) at Templemoyle Nursing Home (in the tender loving care of his family in his 78th year) dearly beloved son of the late Jane-Ann and John-James, much loved brother of May, Nancy, Sarah, Margaret, Elizabeth, Harriet, Martin and the late Jimmy, Bill and John. Service of Thanksgiving in his nephew Jonathan's home, 40 Kilnappy Road, Campsie on Wednesday, 4th January at 11.00am followed by burial in Gortnessy Presbyterian Church Burial Ground. Family flowers only, donations on lieu if desired to Gortnessy Presbyterian Church or Chest, Heart & Stroke c/o Mrs. Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Audrey McIntyre (née Cameron), Ballystone Road, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Audrey McIntyre (née Cameron), 2nd January 2023, (peacefully) at hospital, late of Ballystone Road, Coleraine. Dearly loved wife of Rex, much loved mother of Keith and Claire, loving mother-in-law of Annette and Rodney and devoted grandmother of Rebekah, Cameron, Hannah and Josh. Following a private family burial, a Service of Thanksgiving will be held in Second Dunboe Presbyterian Church on Friday, 6th January 2023 at 3.00pm. Family flowers only please. James Street), beloved wife of the late Raymond (Rakie), loving mother of John, Raymond, Maureen, Kevin, Laurie, Joanne, Gary and Bridgeen, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, dear and loving sister of the late Maureen, Billy, James, Patrick, Laurence and Brian and a dear sister-in-law, mother-in-law and a loving aunt. Funeral leaving her home, 12 Springvale Park, on Thursday, 5th January at 10.20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Iris Storey, 89 Chapel Road, Waterside, Derry
The death has occurred of Iris Storey, 1st January 2023, at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved daughter of the late Brendan and Elizabeth, dear sister of Olive and Aidan and a much loved aunt and great-aunt. Her remains will be removed from her home, 89 Chapel Road, Waterside, on Tuesday evening at 7.00pm to St Columb’s Church, Waterside for Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 10o’clock. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
