The death has taken place of the late Ernest (Ernie) Buchanan, August 5th 2024, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family in his 70th year) much-loved and devoted husband of Vivien, loving brother and a dear uncle. Funeral leaving his late home, 6 Monnaboy Road, Eglinton, on Wednesday, 7th August at 1.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Faughanvale Presbyterian Church at 2.00pm, burial afterwards in the adjoining burial ground. Family flowers only, donations in lieu, if desired, to Faughanvale Presbyterian Church, c/o Mr Samuel Cochrane, 208, Clooney Road, Greysteel, Co Derry BT47 3DY. Patrice Doherty, Birch Hill, Derry
The death has taken place of Patrice Doherty, 4th August 2024, late of Birch Hill, beloved daughter of Adeline and Sean, big sister of Michelle and a much loved niece and aunt. Her remains will be reposing in her parent’s home, 73 Hollymount Park, on Wednesday from 12noon to 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Thursday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road. Interment afterwards in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Cecil Henderson, 64 Parkview, Castledawson
The death has taken place of the late Cecil Henderson, August 4th 2024, (peacefully) at his home, 64 Parkview, Castledawson, Cecil, dearly beloved Husband of the late Sadie, much loved Brother of Winifred and a loving Brother-in-Law, Uncle, Great Uncle and Cousin. Funeral will take place from his home on Tuesday, August 6th at 1:30pm, to Tobermore Baptist Church for service at 2:00pm, followed by burial in Kilcronaghan Parish Churchyard. Beloved brother of Olive Scott and uncle of David (Kara), Karen, Trevor (Helen) and Sandra. House strictly private. The death has occurred of the late Damian McIntyre, 5th August 2024, Peacefully at his home: 136 Tartnakilly Road, Glack, Ballykelly. Loving brother of Noel and the late baby James, Devoted son of the late Jim and Annie. R.I.P. A much loved partner of Karen. Dear nephew of James, Michael, Vera, Frank, Winnie, Margaret, Pat, and Muriel. Deeply regretted by his cousins and all the family circle. Funeral from his home on Wednesday, 7th August at 9.20am for Requiem Mass in St Finough’s Church Ballykelly at 10.00am followed by interment in adjoining cemetery. Beloved Wife of the late Eamon and Loving mother of Christine, John, Monica, Kevin, Bernie, Liam, Roisin, Suzanne, Adele and the late Louise. A much Loved Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Dear sister of Ernie and the late Dan, Bridie, Wilhert, Maggie, Barnie, Dennis, Micky, Paddy, Attie and Vera. Funeral from her Daughters home, 14 Dundrean Park, Derry BT48 8FZ on Tuesday 6th August at 9:30am to St Joseph's Church, Galliagh for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
Richard Mulholland, Drumbee, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan (formerly of Bellaghy)
The death has occurred of the late Richard Mulholland, 4th August 2024, following an accident. Late of Drumbee, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan and formerly of Bellaghy, Co. Derry. Predeceased by his parents J.P. and Dolores. Sadly missed by his daughter Erin (Noel) son's Conor (Ciara) and Culann, cherished grandchildren; Jack, Sean, Matthew and Harry, sisters Siobhan and Maria, brothers Michael and Adrian, aunts, uncles, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. Reposing at his home (A82 H966) on Tuesday and Wednesday from 5.00pm to 8.00pm both evenings. Removal on Thursday to St. Patrick's Church, Kilnaleck arriving for Funeral Mass at 1.00pm. Burial afterwards in St. Mary's Cemetery, Ballynarry. House private to family outside of reposing time.
George Benedict Stephen Sheils, 2 Iniscarn Crescent, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of George Benedict Stephen Sheils, peacefully at Altnagelvin hospital, on 4th August 2024. Late of 2 Iniscarn Crescent. May he rest in peace. Loving father of Daisy and former partner of Marie-Claire. Beloved son of the late Peggy and Eddie. Dearest brother of Frances, Declan, Rosario, Vincent and the late Terry and Raymond. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. George’s remains are now reposing at his brother Declan’s residence, 9 Kingsfort Park.
