Marion (Marlene) Brace (née Hill), 20 Deer Park, Kilfennan
The death has taken place of Marion (Marlene) Brace (née Hill), 6th March 6 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by her loving family) much loved wife of Trevor, devoted mum of Lisa and Richard, loving mother-in-law of Michelle and Richard, adored granny of Blake, Lexie, Daisy, Mason, Joey and Marble, dearest sister of Thomas, Samuel, Pamela, Robert, Victor, Matthew and Leslie, a dear sister-in-law and aunt. Service of Thanksgiving in her late home, 20 Deer Park, Kilfennan on Wednesday, 8th March at 1.30pm followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to W. H. & S.C.T Altnagelvin Hospital (Ward 22) c/o Mrs. Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her entire family circle. Hester Hawkins, Derry
The dwath has taken place of Hester Hawkins, 6th March 2023, (peacefully) passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital, much loved wife of the late Derek, Sister of the late Willie, Robert, Tommy, Connie, Sammy, Jim, Hugh, Lizzie and Mary, also a much loved aunt and great aunt. Funeral service in her nephew Jonathan's home, 14 Derramore Drive, Strathfoyle on Wednesday at 11.00am followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery at 12noon. House private. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family circle.
George Alexander Johnston, 16a Carmean Road, Moneymore
The death has taken place of George Alexander Johnston, 4th March 2023, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, 16a Carmean Road, Moneymore, dearly beloved husband of the late Mary, much loved and devoted father of Thomas, George, David and the late Mary and Robert, dear father-in-law of Leanne, loving partner of Joyce, cherished granda of Alana and dearest brother of the late Thomas, Bobby, Lily and Iris. The death has taken place of Gemma McDaid, 4th March 2023, at Altnagelvin Hospital. Loving Mother of Martin, Dominic and Patrick. Beloved daughter of the late Gerry and Hannah. Much loved sister of Gerald, Jim, John, Paul, Matt, Annette, Kitty and the Late Raymond, Dick and Brendan. Funeral from her home, 1 inishcarn Court on Wednesday at 9.30am to St Mary's Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Phoebe Kathleen Newton (née Reynolds), Gateside Road, Coleraine
The death has occurred of Phoebe Kathleen Newton (née Reynolds), 5th March 2023, (peacefully) at Causeway Hospital following a short illness, late of Gateside Road, Coleraine. Dearly loved wife of the late Billy, much loved mother of George, dear daughter of the late Mark and Janie Reynolds and sister of the late Joe and Florrie (Cousins). House Private. Fr Norbert Reid, St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co Wicklow (formerly of Dunmore Gardens, Creggan, Derry)
The death has taken place of Fr Norbert Reid, St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co Wicklow (formerly of Dunmore Gardens, Creggan, Derry and Diocese of Eldoret, Kenya), 6th March 2023, (peacefully) in the Care Unit, Kiltegan. Predeceased by his parents, Cathal and Johanna. Deeply regretted by his sisters, Olivia, Carmel and Marie, brothers, Joseph, Brendan, Martin and Shaun, sisters-in-law Marie and Caroline, brothers-in-law Robin, Phil and Gerry, nephews and nieces and their families, and by his Society family. Funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Chapel, Kiltegan, on Thursday, 9th March at 12noon followed by burial in the Society Cemetery. Jean Speirs (née Kennedy), 6 Ballyheifer Road, Magherafelt
We regret to inform you that the death has occurred of Jean Speirs (née Kennedy), 6th March 2023, beloved wife of the late Jim and loving mother of Seamus, Jackie (Scullion), Colm, Bernie (Donnelly), Raymond, Pauline and Peter, grandmother of the late Ryan, daughter of the late Brigid Kennedy and sister of the late John and Robert Kennedy, niece of the late Elizabeth Kennedy. Funeral from her home, 6 Ballyheifer Road on Wednesday, 8th March at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of St. John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sons, daughters, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, and extended family circle.
William Galbraith (Will) Steen, 7 Portstewart Road, Coleraine
The death has taken place of William Galbraith (Will) Steen, 6th March 2023, (peacefully) at hospital, 7 Portstewart Road, Coleraine, dear son of the late Richard and Emily, dear brother of Catherine, Desmond and the late Jack, Richard, Robert, Norman and Brian and a much loved brother-in-law and uncle. A much loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Father in law of John F. Dear son of the Late John and Cissie (formally of Dundee Gardens). Loving brother to all his brother’s and sisters.
