The following deaths have occurred:-
Lilian Hamill (née Smyth), Mayboy View, Ballerin
The death has taken place of Lilian Hamill (née Smyth), 12th September 2023, peacefully at home (in her 100th Year), wife of the late Patrick Joseph (Joe) late of Mayboy View, Ballerin. Devoted mother of Alastair, Christina, Elizabeth, Clare, Noreen and the late Tony, Linda, Marie Angela and Sean and a much loved mother-in-law, Granny, great Granny and great great Granny. House Strictly Private Please. Funeral on Friday at 2pm in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. St. Pio pray for her. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle. Laurence Irvine, 2A Moyola Avenue, Castledawson
The death has occurred of Laurence Irvine, called home 12th September 2023, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, 2A Moyola Avenue, Castledawson, dearly beloved husband of Rachel, much loved and devoted father of Donna, Keith and Alan, dear father-in-law of Robert, Natasha and Jeanette, loving granda of Cora, Jamie, Poppie, Riley, Rogan, Shannon and Tamara and dearest brother of Sammy, Etta and the late Gordon, Sidney and Len. House strictly private. Family and friends welcome in Garvin’s Funeral Home on Wednesday evening (September 13) from 7:00pm – 8:30pm. Funeral Service in Castledawson Presbyterian Church on Thursday at 2:00pm followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Anita Jackson (née McLaughlin), 59 Hatmore Park, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Anita Jackson (née McLaughlin), 12th September 2023, beloved wife of Peter, 59 Hatmore Park, loving mother of Nicola, Emma and the late baby Conor, mother-in-law of Lyle, devoted grandmother of Ash, dear sister of Anthony and the late Philomena and sister-in-law of Anne. House private please. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, on Wednesday from 4 – 6 pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn on Thursday at 10 o’clock. Cremation will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at a later date. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of Jack Johnstone, 12th September 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin. Beloved Husband of Philomena (Phyl) and Loving Father of Caroline, Angela, Brian, Stephen, Jacqui, Edel and the late Baby John. A much loved Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Funeral from his home 1 Moyola Avenue on Thursday, 14th September at 9.30am to Steelstown Chapel for Requiem Mass at 10.000am. Followed by private cremation. 0House private from 11pm to 11am. Baby Aoibheann-Anne Martin, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Baby Aoibheann-Anne Martin, 11th September 2023, at Altnagelvin Hospital. Infant daughter of Clodagh and Stephen. Much loved granddaughter of Roy and the Late Anne, Kitty and the Late John McBay. Cherished niece to all her aunts and uncles. Aoibheann will be reposing at Carr Family Funeral Directors room. Funeral from there today (Wednesday) at 11.10am to St Eugene's Cathedral for Mass of the Angels at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Patricia McCorriston (née Burke), 4 Glen Bank Walk, Limavady
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Patricia McCorriston (née Burke), suddenly but peacefully at Causeway Hospital on 10th September 2023. May she rest in peace. Late of 4 Glen Bank Walk, Limavady, Co Derry. Beloved mother of Maria, Tanya, Brendan and Roisin and mother in law of Eamon, Seamus, Gayle and Kenny. A devoted grandmother to all her grandchildren. Daughter of the late Charles and Mary Burke RIP. Deeply regretted by the entire family and circle of friends. Reposing at her late residence. Family time from 10pm to 11am. Funeral from her late residence on Thursday, 14th September at 9.20am for 10am Requiem Mass in Christ the King Church, Limavady. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Robert John McCurry, Myroe
The death has occurred of Robert John McCurry, passed away peacefully at Rushall Nursing Home on 12th September 2023. Formerly of Myroe. Much loved son of the late Cassie and Robert. Very sadly missed by his Nephews and Nieces. Friends and family welcome to call at Browns Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm. John McGilloway, Essex, England
The death has taken place of John McGilloway, 20th August 2023, peacefully at his home in Essex, England, (formerly of Derry and London), beloved husband of the late Jean, loving father of Mary, Ann and Patricia, devoted grandfather of Ciaran, Jeannie, Charley and Jess, dear father-in-law to Lee. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving 10 Demense Gardens on Thursday, 14th September at 10.30am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

The death has occurred of Margaret Wray, 11th September 2023, loving mother of Deborah, Stephen, Catherine, Frankie and Alan, mother-in-law of Andrina, Michelle, David, Ayna and Daniel, devoted grandmother of Danielle, Conor, Ethan, Tomas, Fergal, Clara, Emily, Niamh, Megan, Éire and Arlo, great-grandmother of Hunter, Teddy, Eva, Oakley, Esra, Myla and Clodagh and dear sister of Mary, Liam, Geraldine, Raymond, John, Dee and the late Jim and Alex. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 5 Francis Street. Funeral from there on Friday at 9.30 am for 10 o’clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
