The following deaths have occurred:-
Marie Concannon, 48 Melmore Gardens, Derry
The death has taken place of Marie Concannon, 12th December 2022, (peacefully) at Altnagelvn Hospital, beloved partner of the late Dominic, loving mother of Kevin, devoted grandmother of Chloe and extended family in Coleraine, dear mother-in-law of Linda and a dear and loving sister and aunt. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving her home, 48 Melmore Gardens, on Thursday, 15th December at 11.50am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.
Mary Devlin (née McGowan), 81 Cromore Gardens, Derry
The death has occurred of Mary Devlin (née McGowan), 13th December 2022, peacefully at Deanfield Care Home, beloved wife of the late Sean, loving mother of James, Kathleen, Martina, Patrick, Mary, Philomena, Regina, Sean, Eugene and Paul, devoted grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, dear sister of Paddy, Kitty, Johnny, Lawrence and the late Georgie and Peter. Funeral leaving her home, 81 Cromore Gardens, on Friday, 16th December at 9.20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Ann Herron, 25 Lindenwood Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Ann Herron, 11th December 2022, loving mother of Anthony, John-Paul and Jude, 25 Lindenwood Park, Foyle Springs, daughter of Philomena and the late Hugh Herron, dear sister of Aisling, Paula, John-Paul and Debbie and a much loved aunt of Paul, Jane, Anna, Ciara, Sadie and Erica. Funeral from her home on Thursday at 12o’clock for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. A private cremation will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at a later date. John James McCallion, 91a Main Street, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of John James McCallion (suddenly) at his home on 12th December 2022, late of 91a Main Street, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved son of Annie Mary and Jimmy, loving father of Kevin, John, Peter and Ciaran and devoted grandfather of Aaron, Jessica and Chloe Leigh, loving partner of Mary O’Neill, dear brother of Sandra Moloney, Susan Bradley, Cathy, Gerard, Annette Quigg, Dermot, Liam and Kevin. Deeply regretted by his former wife Joanne, his sisters in law and brothers in law, nieces and nephews and all the family circle. Reposing at his mother’s home, 228 Finvola Park, Dungiven. Family time please from 10.00pm to 12noon. Funeral on Thursday leaving at 10.30am for 11.00am, Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church Dungiven. Daniel (Danny) McDaid, 39 Lislane Drive, Derry
The death has taken place of Daniel (Danny) McDaid, 11th December 2022, (suddenly) at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, beloved husband of Claire, loving father of Daniel, Tony and Caoimhe. Devoted grandfather of Daniel and Nia. Dear son of the late Jim and Theresa. A dear and loving brother to Gloria, Patricia, Stella, Paul and the late Marie, Tony and Brian. A loving uncle to all his nephews and nieces. Loved and sadly missed by his entire family circle and friends. Funeral leaving his home, 39 Lislane Drive, on Thursday, 15th December at 9.20am to St Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. William Samuel (Sam) Maxwell, 51 Scroggy Road, Limavady
The death has taken place of William Samuel (Sam) Maxwell, (peacefully) passed passed away on 12th December 2022 at Altnagelvin Hospital, late of 51 Scroggy Road, Limavady. Much loved husband of Moyra, loving father of Gareth, Keith and Paul, dear father in law of Roberta, Pamela and Lisa also a devoted grandfather and brother. House strictly private. Funeral service will be held in Christ Church Limavady on Friday at 1.00pm followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. Edith (Edie) Montgomery, 5 Ashgrove Park, Magherafelt
The death has taken place of Edith (Edie) Montgomery, 13th December 2022, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, in her 92nd year, 45 Ashgrove Park, Magherafelt, beloved daughter of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Culnady), devoted sister of the late Billy, Maudie (Morrow), Alexander, David, Gretta (Leacock), Lily (Hamilton), Jean (McKinney) and Edith (infant) and also a much loved aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt. House strictly private. Funeral service in St. Swithin’s Parish Church, Magherafelt on Thursday at 1.00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please.
