The following deaths have occurred:-
Charles (Charlie) Conaghan, 6 Glasgow Street, Derry
Charles (Charlie) Conaghan, 17th April 2023, (peacefully) at his home 6 Glasgow Street, beloved husband of the late Patricia, (Pat), loving father of Martin, Rachel, John and Rebecca, adored grandfather, great-grandfather and father-in-law, dear son of the late James Joseph and Mary Frances, loving brother of Catherine, Jim, Paddy, Nell, Marion, Hugh, Collette, Damian, Barney, Gerry, Rita and the late John, June and Thomas Paul. Funeral leaving his home on Thursday, 20th April at 10.50am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry. House Private From 10.00pm to 12noon. St. Pio pray for his soul.
Alice Irene (Rene) Ferguson, Trinity Care Home, Garvagh
Alice Irene (Rene) Ferguson, 17th April 2023, (peacefully) at Causeway Hospital, late of Trinity Care Home, Garvagh and formerly of Bruce Park, Castlerock. Dearly loved wife of the late Samuel James (Jim), much loved mother of Samuel, Kenneth and the late Christine, mother-in-law of Patricia and the late Alyson and a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. Funeral Service in Wades Funeral Home, Coleraine on Thursday at 11.00am followed by interment in Downhill Burying Ground. Family flowers only please. Ron Francis, 48 Shore Road, Ballyronan
The death has taken place of Ron Francis, 18th April 2023, (peacefully) at his home, 48 Shore Road, Ballyronan, Ron, dearly beloved husband of the late Marion, much loved and devoted father of Julie, Ian and Colin, dear father-in-law of Debbie and Jayne and loving Grandad of Hollie, Luke, Eva, Dawn and Lewis. House strictly private. Family and friends welcome in Garvin’s Funeral Home, 15 Ballyronan Road, Magherafelt, BT45 6BP on Wednesday evening (April 19) from 7.00pm – 8.30pm. Funeral from his home on Thursday (April 20) at 2.00pm for service in St John’s Parish Church, Ballinderry at 2:30pm approx., followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard. The death has taken place of William Austin McClay, 18th April 2023, (peacefully) at his daughter Diane’s home, 60 Roulston Avenue, Waterside formerly of Manning Way, Brigade (in the tender loving care of his family in his 81st year) devoted father of Diane and Nigel, loving father-in-law of Keith and Sarah, much loved grandfather of Zoe, Keith, Tylor, Danielle, Stephanie, Jodie and great grandfather of Emilie, Gracie, Dylan, Aria, Alaya, Avery, Leo, Willow-Grace and Mia. Joanne McFarland, Main Street, Ballykelly
The death has taken place of Joanne McFarland, passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital on 15th April 2023, late of Main Street, Ballykelly. Much loved wife of Sam, devoted mother of Sarah -Jayne and Emily, Dear Mother in law of Jermaine and loving Grandmother of Ella-Rose also a dear Sister. House strictly private (close friends and close family only please.) Funeral service will be held in Tamlaghtfinlagan Parish Church on Thursday at 2pm followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. (All welcome to attend the Funeral) Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family circle.
Rose McLaughlin (née McAuley), 11 Foyle Park, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Rose McLaughlin (née McAuley), (peacefully) at her home on 18th April 2023, surrounded by all of her loving family. Late of 11 Foyle Park. Beloved mother of Carol, Lorraine and the late Paul, Linda and Paula. Dearest mother-in-law of James and John. Loving grandmother of Kevin, Conor, Caoimhe, Gemma and Aoife. A much loved great-grandmother of Devin, Rhaya, Jonah, Dannon, Mason, Aodhán, Nyla and Luca. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Rose's remains will be reposing at her late residence, 11 Foyle Park. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, 20th April at 10.50am for 11.30am Requiem Mass in St. Columba's Church, Longtower.
