The following deaths have occurred:-
Colin William Adams, formerly of Kinnyglass, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Colin William Adams, 14th May 2023, (peacefully) in Lincoln County Hospital, of Horncastle and formerly of Kinnyglass, Coleraine, loving husband of Alison, dear father of Jessie, Rosie, Grace, Eilish and Jonah, a devoted granda, cherished son of Edwin and Christine, loving brother of John and Mark and a dear brother-in-law, uncle and friend. His funeral will take place in Lincoln on 14th June 2023. What beautiful memories you leave behind, Always so loving, thoughtful and kind, You may have left this world behind, But you will never leave our hearts and mind.
Rebecca Browne, 90 Elaghmore Park, Derry
The death has occurred of Rebecca Browne, 21st May 2023, beloved daughter of Jeremiah and Lynn, 90 Elaghmore Park, loving sister of Ethan, devoted granddaughter of Michael and the late Jean Browne and Ray Smith and the late Linda Wright and a much loved niece and cousin. House restricted to family and friends only please. Funeral from her home on Friday at 9.25am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Galliagh. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The Mass will be viewed live via the church webcam or via the link https://www.churchservices.tv/galliagh. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Paul Doherty, Kular Court, Derry
The death has taken place of Paul Doherty, 21st May 2023, (suddenly) at his home Kular Court. Much loved father of Ceálach, beloved son Of Michael and the Late Kathleen. Loving brother of John, Vinny, Josie, Cathy, Michael, Shauna and the Late Mary.
Funeral from his father's home, 11 Demesne Avenue on Thursday at 9.20am to St Mary's Chapel, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by all his family and everyone that knew him. Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on his soul. Our lady of knock pray for him.
Donna Ferguson (née Kelly), 14 Glenbank Road, Derry
The death has occurred of Donna Ferguson (née Kelly), 22nd May 2023, (peacefully) at the Foyle Hospice. Beloved Wife of John and Loving Mother of Jonathan, Laura, Kiara and Geraldine. Loving Granny of Nathan, Aodhàn, Rónán, Conor, Cian and a much loved mother-in-law. Beloved Daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Kelly. Dear sister of Mary and the late Charlie and Nancy. Funeral from her home, 14 Glenbank Road on Thursday, 25th May at 9.30am to Saint Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on her soul.
Patrick (Towser) Ferguson, 236 Bishop Street, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Patrick (Towser) Ferguson, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by all of his loving family on 23rd May 2023. Late of 236 Bishop Street and formerly of 5 Moore Walk. May he rest in peace. Beloved father of Lisa, Ricky and Adam. Loving granda of Levanne, Pearse, Eli and Lucas. Devoted son of the late Kathleen and William. A much loved brother of Tommy, Ann, Gerald, Dolores, Sheila, Ruby, Kathleen, Noel, Damian and the late Mona, John, Daniel, Rita and Joseph. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Towser’s remains will be reposing at his sister Sheila's residence, 246 Bishop Street. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, 25th May at 11.20am for 12.00pm Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Mario Patrick Nicell, 34 Kylemore Park, Derry
The death has occurred of Mario Patrick Nicell, 23rd. May 2023, (peacefully) at his home, 34 Kylemore Park, beloved husband of Jackie, loving father of Lorna and Rebecca, dear son of Bianca and the late Michael and stepson of Peter, loving brother of Francesca, Michael, George and the late Paul, stepbrother to Theresa and Geraldine and a loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Funeral leaving his home on Thursday at 10.20am to St. Patrick’s Church Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Patricia Quigg, Stradowen Drive, Strathfoyle

Loving mother of Aaron and devoted grandmother of Dylan, Aime and Harry. Beloved daughter of Philomena and Harry and dear sister of Martin, Seamus and Dolores. The death has taken place of Lorna Selfridge (née Speirs), 23rd May 2023 (suddenly, but peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, Lorna, dearly loved wife of the late Norman, Mullagh Road, Maghera, much loved mother of Alex, Gladys-Jane, Michele and Norman-James, a loving Mother-in-Law of Tanya, Carla, Conor and Melissa, devoted granny of Caitlin, Kay-leigh, Jake, Charlie, Tommy, Nuala and Clare and dearest Sister of Robert (Bobby) and John. Wake will commence on Wednesday, 24th May at her Son Alex's home, 100 Mullagh Road, Maghera (Family time from 10.00pm - 10.00am). Funeral from Alex’s home on Friday, 26th May at 11.30am to St. Lurach’s Parish Church, Maghera for service at 12.00noon, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of Selwyn Taylor, 22nd May 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family in his 87th year) much loved husband of Joan, devoted dad of Michael, Karen and Nigel, loving father-in-law of Susanne and Anna, adored grandad of Oliver, Patrick, Alexander and Adam. Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Glendermott Parish Church on Thursday, 25th May at 12.00 noon, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. (There is no wake as Selwyn’s remains will be reposing in Glendermott Parish Church until the time of the Funeral). The death has taken place of John Anderson (Jackie) Thompson, (peacefully) passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital on 23rd May 2023. Much loved husband of Jean, loving father of Richard, dear father in law of Linda and devoted grandfather of Henry and Heidi. Friends and family welcome to call at the family home, 7 Castle Gardens, Limavady, on Wednesday and Thursday from 1.00pm - 9.00pm. Funeral service will be held in Tamlaghtfinlagan Parish Church on Friday at 2.00pm followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard.
