The death has occurred of the late Ellen Giffin (née Waring), May 12 2025, peacefully at Cottage Care Home, Coleraine (surrounded by her loving family). Ellen (Ella), dearly loved wife of Garth and much loved mother of Janet, Jill and the late Lynda; mother-in-law of Paul and Mervyn; adored grandmother of Duncan, Callum, Patrick, Niall (Amy) and Cathy; loving sister of Elizabeth and the late John. House Private. Funeral Service in Wades Funeral Home on Friday at 11.00am, followed by interment in Agherton Cemetery, Portstewart. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of the late David Samuel (Dai) Steele, May 12 2025, peacefully at Strathearn Care Home, Belfast, beloved husband of the late Margaret Rose (née Meehan), dear father of William (Alison) and Anne, Grandfather of Susan (Rorie), Christine, Natalie (Jordan), Jack (Clare) and Megan, great-grandfather of Poppy and Daisy. Adrian (Aidy) Thompson, 73 Marlborough Road, Derry
It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Adrian (Aidy) Thompson, suddenly at his home on May 11 2025. Late of 73 Marlborough Road and formerly of 1 Bantry Road, Foyle Springs. May he rest in peace. Beloved son of Kay and Roy. Loving brother of Kieran, Tara and Kevin. Dearest brother-in-law of Amanda and Roisin. A much loved uncle of Katie, Ethan, Kian, Emma and Niamh. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. Aidy’s remains will be reposing at his late family home, 1 Bantry Road, Foyle Springs. Funeral leaving from there on Thursday, May 15 at 9:30am for 1.000am Requiem Mass in The Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
