Derry Girls star to host talk with award-winning Palestinian photojournalist in Derry

Derry’s Guildhall will host an in-depth conversation event between Derry Girls star Jamie Lee O’Donnell and award-winning Palestinian photojournalist Motaz Azaiza. 

The event is set to take place on August 22 at 7pm, organised by the Derry branch of the IPSC.

Already sold out, all funds from ticket donations will go towards the cost of Motaz’s Irish tour and Derry’s fund a food drop in Gaza. 

Derry City and Strabane District Council have sponsored the event and will play host with Derry’s IPSC, thanking them and the mayor of Derry, Councillor Lilian Barr, for their support.

In an Instagram story Ms. O’Donnell said: “Honored to be part of this historic event. Hope to see you all there.”
