Derry group climbing Mount Errigal to raise money for Foyle Search and Rescue

A group of women from Derry are climbing Mount Errigal next month to raise money for Foyle Search and Rescue.

The woman undertaking the climb Fiona Mc Cafferty, Teaghan Mullan, Darragh Muldoon, Charlene, Rachel, Courtney Roberts, Margaret Meenan, Laura Healy and Edel Luby.

The group are aiming to raise £500 for FSR through the website 'My Donate'.

Speaking on their fundraising page they said: "We are trying to raise money for this charity as we see so much going on in Derry and so many lives lost to the River Foyle.

"The help given to families is amazing and we would like to help support more if we can. As well as this the amount of lives saved can only grow more through help and funds raised.

"Personal experiences and the experiences of friends and family who have lost or nearly lost family and friends to the river have given us the idea to do this and we hope to raise as much as possible."
