Derry gym gets beind National Fitness Day

A Derry gym will support tomorrow’s National Fitness Day by throwing open its doors to allow non-members use its facilities.

PureGym, Lesley Park, Meadowbank is offering free day passes to anyone over 18 years of age that is looking to lead a healthier lifestyle and experience first-hand what it has to offer.

The initiative is being run by not-for-profit health bodya UKactive who are taking on the task of raising awareness of the importance and benefits of physical activity. The ultimate goal is to kick-start the journey to regular exercise for thousands of people across the country. Maggs Campbell, general manager at PureGym Derry, said the gym was “proud” to take part in National Fitness Day, which she described as a “great initiative.”
