Derry man charged with assaulting woman returned for trial

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on an assault charge.
Raymond Lishman (35) of Dunvale Close in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.
He faces one charge of assault on a female occasioning her actual bodily harm that was said to have occurred on January 15, 2022.
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Lishman said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
He was returned for trial in custody to Derry Crown Court on September 23.
