Derry man charged with attempted murder with a crossbow pleads not guilty

A 49-year-old Derry man charged with attempted murder in possession of an axe, crossbow and arrows had pleaded not guilty at Derry Crown Court today.

Brian Forbes, of Glenanne, is also charged with possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence, threats to kill and criminal damage.

His trial has been set for January 29, 2018 and Forbes has been remanded in custody.
