Derry man charged with breaching non-molestation order remanded

Kieran Breslin (43) of Dunceggan Road in Derry was charged with breaking the order against his former partner on April 6
A man has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrates Court charged with breaching a non-molestation order.
Kieran Breslin (43) of Dunceggan Road in Derry was charged with breaking the order against his former partner on April 6.
The court heard the breach involved Breslin 'pestering' the injured party.
Police objected to bail as they believed that there was a risk of further offending as Breslin has a number of previous convictions, including several against the same victim.
Defence solicitor Keith Kyle said that the breach wasn't 'the worst in the world' and stated that alcohol had been involved with both parties.
Be added that Breslin had been trying to get help for his addiction issues.
Bail was refused and Breslin will appear again on May 2.
