Derry man 'lost his head' and ripped door off it's hinges

A man will be sentenced in September for taking a fire door off it's hinges in a block of flats.
Oran Mitchell (24) of Rock Mills in Derry was charged with criminal damage after removing the door on June 25.
Police were called to a disturbance and when they arrived they found the door had been ripped off its hinges.
The defendant was arrested at the scene and Mitchell made full admissions after police confirmed the incident via CCTV.
Defense solicitor Seamus Quigley said that Mitchell had simple 'lost his head' and asked for a pre-sentence report.
He will appear again for sentencing on September 13.
