Defendant admitted resisting police and shouting political slogans outside a local bar.

A judge told a defendant today at Derry Magistrate's Court that he hoped 'i never seen you again' after he admitted being disorderly outside a bar in the Spencer Road area during the Apprentice Boys march.

Anthony Martin Bradley (50) of Barnwall Place in Derry admitted being disorderly and resisting police on August 8 in Spencer Road during the Apprentice Boys march.

The court heard that at around 3.50 pm police spoke to Bradley outside a local pub.

Bradley was shouting and being disorderly and repeatedly shouted 'tiocfaidh ar la'.

Bradley also admitted similar charges that occurred on April 17 at the bottom of Sackville Street when Bradley was seen squaring up to a female.

When he was arrested and being led to a police vehicle he resisted.

Defence counsel Stephen Chapman said the defendant had a relevant record for 'nuisance behaviour'.

District Judge Ted Magill said he was going to give Bradley a chance by imposing probation.

He told Bradley 'either take this chance and succeed or you will be going to jail.'

He imposed a sentence of 18 months probation.
