Derry man to face trial on series of drug charges

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of drug charges.

Ryan Wright (32) of Kinsale Park in Derry appeared at a preliminary enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.

He faces a total of 8 drug charges including being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis, possessing cocaine and cannabis, possessing cannabis with intent to supply, supplying cannabis and offering to supply cannabis.

All of the charges relate to various dates in 2022.

It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 

Wright said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 

He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on September 21 and released on bail.
