Derry woman granted bail on condition she does not enter the city

Courtney Temple (19) of Foyle Road in Derry appeared charged with breaching her bail by going to Claremont House despite being banned from there
A woman has been granted bail at Derry Magistrate's Court today on condition she does not enter the city because police said they 'can't keep her away from an address in the city.'
Courtney Temple (19) of Foyle Road in Derry appeared charged with breaching her bail by going to Claremont House despite being banned from there.
Temple is charged with criminal damage on November 26 last year and a police officer told the court that this was her third breach for the same thing.
He said Temple had been given 'a clear warning' on the last occasion and he asked for a remand in custody to stop Temple going to that address.
Defence counsel Sinead Rogan said that her client was awaiting sentencing for the criminal damage.
She said Temple had a limited record and in thus case there were no further allegations against her.
District Judge Barney McElholm said he had warned Temple on the last occasion that another breach would result in custody.
He said that the police had 'better things to do' than chasing Temple.
The judge said that the defendant 'had been told not to go there' but still did.
But he said he would grant bail to an address approved by the PSNI outside of the city and she was not to enter Derry except for court.
The case was adjourned until later this month.
