Drugs accused has links with European criminals - court told
A Derry man accused of leading a gang trying to bring drugs worth millions of pounds into Northern Ireland has ties with criminals in Spain and Holland a court has been told.
Declan Gallagher (32) is one of a number of men and women on remand charged in connection with seizures of cocaine and cannabis worth £2.1m.
A previous court was told Gallagher (pictured above) was shot and wounded by the dissident grouping Republican Action Against Drugs and his dog was shot and killed in a separate attack.
RAAD also bombed his house in St Johnston in Co. Donegal.
During a bail application at Belfast High Court yesterday, a prosecutor also alleged he had links with republican and loyalist criminal gangs.
Bail was refused.
