Eagerly awaited Kneecap Derry gig rescheduled

The highly anticipated Kneecap show in Derry has been rescheduled to November 23, it has been confirmed.
Organisers for the gig said that despite objections from some local representatives, the gig will go ahead in St Columb's Park.
A spokesperson for the event said: “First and foremost, we cannot express enough gratitude to the people of Derry and beyond who have come together in such an incredible way to show support for this event.
"The energy and passion from the public have been overwhelming, and it’s clear that this is more than just a concert—it’s a momentous occasion for Derry’s cultural scene.
"Despite the success in ticket sales, a number of objections have been raised by certain local representatives who have expressed opposition to the event.
"These actions, however, will not deter the team behind the show. In compliance with local regulations, organizers have taken the necessary steps to ensure the event proceeds successfully, including shifting the date to November 23.
“We were prepared for this. Yes, there were attempts to block this show, but we will not be silenced. Art cannot be censored. Culture cannot be stifled. This show is about more than just music—it’s about freedom of expression, and we’re determined to see it through,” organisers stated.
Anyone who requires refunds for the original date can do so by contacting the ticketing platform. All tickets issued for the original date will be valid for the new date.
