Foyle Women's Aid in Derry is set to benefit from £210,604 funding through the Tampon Tax Fund.

Seventy organisations across the country, including four based in Northern Ireland, will share £12 million from the Tampon Tax Fund, helping to improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls across the country.

Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP said: “I’m delighted to announce that four projects based in Northern Ireland are set to benefit from the UK Government’s latest round of Tampon Tax funding.

“Mid Ulster Women’s Aid, Foyle Women’s Aid, Austism NI and HomeStart North Down all work to improve the lives of disadvantaged women and girls in Northern Ireland.

“The Fund supports our ambition to create a fairer, shared society for all of the United Kingdom and that work is epitomised by these four charities.”
