Derry Central Library will hold a SafeTALK workshop to show people how to identify those with thoughts of suicide.

The half-day workshop led by Gary Kane from Action Mental Health will include powerful video illustrating responses, discussion and practice to stimulate learning.

Participants will learn how to connect those at risk with suicide first aid resources and intervention services by applying the TALK steps (Tell, Ask, Listen and Keepsafe).

“This is a great opportunity for people in the area to find out more about suicide prevention. The SafeTALK workshop is packed full of simple and practical skills to help people learn steps that contribute to saving lives," said Clare Curry, Information and Learning Services Manager with Libraries NI.

The free workshop takes place on Friday, January 27th from 10:30am – 1:00pm.
