Greysteel man charged with a number of driving offences

A man who was detected driving just over a week after being disqualified has appeared at Derry Magistrates Court charged with a number of driving offences. 

Ruairi Fenlon (19) of Sheskin Park in Greysteel was charged with driving while disqualified, driving with no insurance and driving with defective tyres after being spotted by police on April 26 this year.

The court heard that the defendant had been disqualified from driving on April 18. 

When questioned, Fenlon admitted to the offences and police then spotted the damaged tyres.

Defense solicitor Paddy McDaid asked for a pre-sentence report and he will appear again on October 11.
