Harps win to consolidate second spot

Finn Harps have beaten Cobh Ramblers 1-0 to go five points clear of third placed UCD in the Airtricity League First Division, and to keep alive a slim chance of landing the title.

A Tony McNamee goal on 50 minutes proved to be the winner at St. Colman's Park.

Harps are now seven points behind title favourites Wexford Youths with just three games to play.

Significantly, Harps are nine ahead of fourth placed Shelbourne and are virtually guaranteed of a place in the second versus third play-off at worst.
