Principal Feargal Friel pays tribute to staff, volunteers, and parents after three stellar performances.

The Primary 7 pupils of Hollybush Primary School brought the house down with two superb nights in their end-of-school show of ‘A Journey Through The Musicals’.

The Savanna was brought to life with acting, movement and singing from ‘The Lion King’, Mia Kent was notable as ‘Matilda’, the bubbly Ben Morrison was ‘Shrek’, the inimitable Alexandra Houston starred as ‘Annie’, and then there was a final scene with a journey back in time and ‘The Wizard of Oz’ saw all the 2026 school leavers perform, sing, smile and even a few tears were spotted as the children received a standing ovation.

The three performances were brought to an end on Wednesday night with Mr. Feargal Friel taking to the stage to celebrate yet another highly successful year with the school’s P7 pupils.

He also paid tribute to the many volunteers, who, along with the staff and pupils, board of governors, made this year’s show such a success.

‘Once again, our Primary 7 pupils performed superbly and what a show they put on! A massive thank you to all, too numerous to mention, who played their part admirably. And thank you to you, all the parents, grandparents, guardians for your continued support throughout this year.’
