The Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Grace Uí Niallais, joined members of Comhaltas and the wider traditional music community at the Guildhall for a special event celebrating the 75th anniversary of Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.
Mayor Uí Niallais paid special recognition to Brendan Molloy, who was honoured for his dedicated service as branch chairperson and County Board chair, and for his outstanding contribution to the promotion and development of Irish traditional culture.
The event also reflected on the legacy of the All-Ireland Fleadh held in Derry in 2013, bringing together key figures who helped make the landmark festival such a success.
