Nearly 200 residents gather at the Waterfoot Hotel to celebrate Positive Ageing Month and combat social isolation.

The Western Health & Social Care Trust (Western Trust) Multi-Disciplinary Social Work Team, in collaboration with Derry City and Strabane Council, were delighted to host their annual "Chat-Tea Ball" event in the Waterfoot Hotel recently, as part of Positive Ageing Month with 199 people attending.

Cathy Morren, Social Work Assistant, Quayside Medical Practice said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to the wonderful entertainment on the night by The D'Ukes of Gransha and Mickey Doherty who had everyone on their feet dancing the night away!

“We would also like to say thank you to the staff at The Waterfoot Hotel for their excellent service.

“This event supported people to connect with others and promote positive ageing within our community.”
