Open Doors Club in Swatragh had a lovely evening recently celebrating 26 years. During the event there was lots of talent, music, singing, karaoke, food, drinks and of course lots of great memories and laughter. Margaret McFlynn of the Open Doors Club said the evening would not have been possible without the support of numerous people and organisations. “I would like to thank Open Doors committee and volunteers in giving their time to help in every way possible in making this event a most enjoyable and successful evening and Mid Ulster District Council Community Festival Grant for their funding. “Thanks also to Country Cafe Swatragh for the delicious buffet, Diana McClean for the beautiful flower displays and to group member Karen Kearney for baking the lovely cake. Congratulations to our raffle winners, Paula McCready, Connor Margey, Megan Brolly, Maura Quinn, Fiona McKeown and Margaret McFlynn. Special thank you to Open Doors members in providing great entertainment, singing and karaoke. A great evening was had by all.” The Open Doors Club's summer term concluded with a trip to the Jet Centre for 10 Pin Bowling and dining in McDonald’s. Meanwhile, this Saturday, July 5, the group are looking forward to a great event. Bronagh McKeown, sister of member James, is celebrating a special birthday and instead of presents, Bronagh is organising a fabulous fundraiser for two amazing charities, Foyle Down Syndrome and Open Doors Club in Swatragh. The day will start with sea dip in East Strand, Portrush at 10am followed by a charity country night and line dancing with Charley and the Honky Tonk Angels in the Wild Duck Inn, Portglenone from 8.30pm until late. There will be a raffle on the evening with many great prizes up for grabs. ABOVE: Kevin O’Hagan and mum Eilish. We want your photos to feature on the website via our Camera Club.
