With Cumber Primary School's 30th anniversary celebrations taking place later this week, Orla Mullan went along to see what pupils there think about their school and the milestone occasion. While many are thankful for the education they have received to date and the friendships they have made at the Claudy school, one thing is clear – they are all proud to be part of the school community and look forward to its continued success. Cumber Primary School's is celebrating their 30th anniversary

Freyja (P5): I like the school plays that we get to do every year. I love acting and I would like to be an actress when I grow up. Literacy is my favourite subject. This school is a very happy place.

Rubie (P6): I like that this school is very inclusive and all the teachers are really nice. I also like that we get to meet pupils from other schools through shared education.

Alfie (P6): I like everything about school – the work and the teachers. I also like to play football. I am on the school football team and Manchester United are my favourite team.

Leah (P7): I like coming to school because I get to meet my friends and we get to play outside together. You also get the opportunity to do shows which I have really enjoyed during my time here. My favourite memory from my time at school would have to be the two shows that we did. I will miss this school when I leave. I will really miss the staff and also the wee ones.
