Institute "six pointer" clash with Dungannon Swifts called off

Institute's Danske Bank Premiership clash with Dungannon Swifts, due to take place at the Riverside Stadium in Drumahoe to, has been called off.

The decision to cancel the game, regarded as a "six-pointer" clash, was taken after the pitch was declared unplayable at lunchtime.

Paul Kee's side occupy the relegation play-off spot and a win would have seen them leap above Swifts into the third-from-bottom safety spot.

The game is the latest sporting fixture to fall foul of the wintry weather.

All of tomorrow's Bentley Bar North West Saturday Morning League games were called off yesterday.

Sunday's Derry and District FA games and the Dr McKenna Cup clash between Derry and Queen's at Owenbeg in Dungiven are also in doubt.
