Ladies JFC SF: Steelstown All-Ireland hopes ended by Bantry

Brian Ogs Steelstown hopes of All-Ireland glory were ended in Cork this afternoon when they were defeated by Bantry Blues in the semi-final of the Ladies Junior Football Championship.

Trailing by a single point at half-time on a scoreline of 0-05 to 0-04, the Ballyarnett girls put in battling performance in the second period but were unable to prevent the Blues, who have dominated ladies’ football in Cork for the last 10 years, going through to the All-Ireland final on a scoreline of 0-10 to 0-06.
