Suspended sentence for Limavady man charged with disorderly behaviour in Altnagelvin Hospital

A man has been sentenced at Derry Magistrates’ Court charged with disorderly behaviour in Altnagelvin Hospital.
Aiden McKay (27) of Josephine Avenue in Limavady was charged with the incident that occurred on October 17 last year.
Police had initially been contacted by McKay's mother, who reported that he was 'running around the street' and 'off his head'.
He also came to the attention of police for an unrelated matter.
While at the hospital McKay was verbally disorderly using profanities despite being warmed about his behaviour.
Defence solicitor Keith Kyle said that McKay has difficulties with drugs but added that the offence was simply a verbal disorderly.
He also said that McKay had no record at the time and had pleaded guilty.
He was sentenced to three months in custody, suspended for 12 months.
