Local MLA appeals for information after man is abducted, has hood placed over his head and hands and feet bound in 'horrific' attack

SDLP West Tyrone MLA Daniel McCrossan has appealed for information after what he described as a 'shocking and horrific' attack in the Strabane area last night.

Mr McCrossan said: "Shocking and horrific details emerging about the alleged abduction of a 22-year-old man from Strabane last night.

"The young man had a hood placed over his head and his hands and feet bound before being subjected to a vicious assault. He has a suspected broken arm and gash to his head.

"This revelation has sent shock waves throughout the community, worried families and most certainly should be taken very seriously.

"I am appealing to anyone and everyone to please come forward with information."
