Man and woman in court over Derry child neglect allegations

The man and woman face two counts of neglect alongside a class B drug possession charge
A man and a woman have appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today charged with child cruelty.
The man and woman could not be named in order to protect the identity of the alleged victim in the case.
They were both charged with two counts of neglecting a child on April 1818 2026 by neglect and one count of possessing a class B drug on the same date.
Both were connected to the charges by a police officer.
The case against the man and the woman was adjourned until December 2 and they were released on bail on condition they have no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18-years-of-age.
