Man charged with possession of indecent images of children returned for trial

The man, who was granted anonymity, was charged with, on January 27, 2021, nineteen counts of possession of indecent images of a child and four counts of being in possession of an image of a child contrary to the Coroner's and Justice Act
A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court charged with possession of indecent images of children following a Preliminary Inquiry at Derry Magistrates Court.
The man, who was granted anonymity, was charged with, on January 27, 2021, nineteen counts of possession of indecent images of a child and four counts of being in possession of an image of a child contrary to the Coroner's and Justice Act.
It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
He chose not to call any witnesses or to submit any statements.
He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on September 19 and released on bail.
