Man remanded after 'flagrant breach' of bail in Derry

25-year-old facing domestic assault charges is sent back to custody after breaching an exclusion zone
A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court following a breach of his bail conditions.
Ryan Moorman (25) of Norfolk Square in Antrim was granted bail for alleged domestic offences, including alleged domestic assault, on July 6 on conditions including that he not enter Derry and not have any contact with two injured parties.
Police found him on July 8 with one of the injured parties in the city and subsequently arrested him.
Defence Barrister Sinead Rogan said that 'there had been no new offending' at the time of Moorman's arrest and said that this would be 'a stark reminder' not to be in Derry.
District Judge Ted Magill pointed out that Moorman has 90 previous convictions and said that this was 'a flagrant breach' two days after he had been released.
Bail was refused and he will appear again on July 16.
