Next generation of Derry soccer stars honoured at D&D Youth FA Awards

Over 500 guests celebrate the stars of the 8–11 age group as the D&D 2025 season honours continue in style
The second of the three Derry & District Youth Football Association’s awards nights took place at the Waterfoot Hotel on Friday evening with an attendance of over 500 at the 8-11 years age group.
Players, coaches, and families from across the city and district clubs came together to recognise the achievements of a hugely successful 2025 season.
‘What a fantastic turnout tonight as once again the D&D outshone itself with the Waterfoot Hotel packed to the rafters to celebrate the continued dedication of our players, coaches, and families,’ commented Philip Devlin.
Special guests at Friday night’s function included Councillor Aisling Hutton and Derry Credit Union representatives Geraldine O’Doherty and Denise Crossan.
The celebrations continue next week with the girls’ soccer at the Waterside venue.
