Buzzed NI, popular Limavady and Ballykelly coffee vans, have been named Northern Ireland’s Best Coffee Takeaway at the NI Takeaway Awards 2024

Popular Limavady and Ballykelly coffee vans Buzzed NI are over the moon to have been named Northern Ireland’s Best Coffee Takeaway at the NI Takeaway Awards 2024.

Rapidly following their awards success, the growing local business made an exciting announcement that they were opening a new enterprise, Buzz n’ Berry, on Market Street, Limavady.

The new health food shop promises to serve all things nutritious and delicious in addition to their award-winning coffee.

Kenzie Case, the proprietor of Buzzed NI, was delighted to share their sensational win with the local community:

“Winning Best Coffee Takeaway this year was definitely our biggest achievement so far!

“In 2022 and 2023 we won Best Catering/Refreshment Van, and in 2023 we were runner up for Best Coffee.

“Given coffee is our main priority and what we pride ourselves on, winning the award this year meant the world to us!

“Running a small business can be very challenging.

“As lovely and easy as it looks from the outside, there is a lot that goes on behind closed doors and to be recognised for our hard work is amazing.”

Kenzie and her partner Ethan Price opened Buzzed NI during the Covid pandemic, when the appetite for outdoor takeaways seemed limitless.

Kenzie described the origins of the business: “During the pandemic, my partner Ethan and I were both working in cafes, I was working in a sit in and Ethan was working in a similar coffee van to the one we have now.

“Coffee and food vans were taking off due to all the covid regulations, and since we both had experience, we thought “why not do it ourselves?”!

“So, we bought a van and started trading in June 2021, we are close to 3 years running now.

“We have two vans open daily on Connell Street in Limavady and at WHN Tyres in Ballykelly.

“We also are at Limavady Accessible Playpark on the weekends and many events scattered throughout the year, including CrossFit Competitions, Irish Dancing Competitions, weddings, bike races and everything in between.placeholder image

The business is expanding with Kenzie and Ethan due to open a new health food shop in Limavady.

“Our busiest week of the year is during Halloween, where we attend all the local fireworks displays and our local Pumpkin Patch at Seacoast Garden Centre.”

Kenzie is buzzing about their latest project, opening a new healthy food shop, serving Acai bowls, smoothies, protein shakes and high protein snacks to the people of Limavady.

Kenzie explained more about the new business venture.

“Ever since opening up our first van, we have always dreamed of having a shop,” she said.

“Being on Market Street is a big jump and we are hoping it will bring us to the next level.

“We believe a really healthy food option is something that Limavady is missing, and we hope the town will love it.

“As the health industry and fitness industry goes, this will be a great option!

“We plan to serve Açai bowls, smoothies, high protein snacks and more.

“We will also continue to serve all of our specialty coffees, and add more to the menu – there are exciting times ahead!”
