One of the largest single venue rally events in Ireland will be held at the Nutts Corner Motorsport Centre in Co Antrim next weekend (Sunday, July 27) when he 'RSA King of the Corner 2025' is set to take place.

Currently 120 drivers have entered the 16 different classes ranging from junior drivers (12 - 17yrs) a full selection of rally cars which will include Ford Escorts, Honda Civics and World Rally specification R5 and R2 turbocharged cars, The RSA Mini Cup and Supercup cars, The MX5 Challenge cars together with 50+ high-performance Crosskarts which will battle it out to compete to be the RSA King of the Corner Champions for 2025.

The unique RSA event formula has become very popular with competitors and spectators alike due to the non-stop high-speed action from the wide range of high-quality Rally cars and phenomenally fast motorcycle race specification engined Crosskarts.

The Rallysport Association has been the ‘springboard’ for many of Ireland’s current top-class drivers and navigators in rallying since its inception 25 years ago.

Portglenone’s Josh McErlean is now a front runner in the World Rally championship driving a works Ford, Jon Armstrong from Fermanagh is a leading driver in the European Championship and several of the other former juniors are at the ‘top end’ of the British Championships including British Champion navigator Liam Regan and Aaron Johnston who is a top navigator for the Toyota Gazoo World Rally team.placeholder image

Let’s not forget County Derry's Callum Devine who is undoubtedly the current best rally driver in Ireland. The Park native won this year's Donegal International Rally for the third consecutive year.

RSA regular competitors Aaron McLaughlin and Conor Wilson have also recently claimed a one – two in the Northern Ireland Motorsport UK championship so spectators can be assured of some serious action at this RSA event from all the up-and-coming competitors on their way to the top. One driver worth watching is young James O’Shea who is the son of the former World Rally Champion Niall (The Stig) who with his talent and coaching by his father is just seriously talented and destined for a great future within motorsport.

Local talent will include The Antrim based Grant Commercials Team including Lydia Grant in her Mini Cup car, Gary, Gavin and Adrian Grant in Subaru Impreza’s and a beautiful Mk 2 Escort. Local hauler Gary Lyons from Moira will also be competing in his Rally 2 Fiesta against some seriously fast competitors from all parts of Ireland.
